Germany's best universities for auditors: Münster rises to 4th place

The University of Münster has moved up two places in the ranking of the best universities for auditing. It is one of only four universities to receive 5 out of 5 stars and the highest rating of "excellent" with 451 out of 500 points. The ranking is published every two years by Manager Magazin and is based on the assessments of more than 80 auditing firms and around 1,400 of their clients. Prof Dr Hans-Jürgen Kirsch, Director of the Institute for Accounting and Auditing (IRW), is very satisfied with the result: "The ranking is a great confirmation of our work at the IRW, very much in the tradition of the first Seminar for Auditing and my predecessors Ulrich Leffson and Jörg Baetge." He also emphasised that it is not only the teaching of specialist knowledge that is decisive for such a top ranking, but also an all-round sound economic education, as offered to its students by the Accounting Centre and the School of Business and Economics as a whole.
