Master your future: Successful Premiere for School's Info Day

Numerous students took the opportunity to inform themselves about the various master's programs at the first "Master your future" Info Day of the School of Business & Economics. Professors, students, program managers, and alumni presented the programs in Business Administration, Business Development, Economics, and Information Systems, and answered questions about content and application in personal conversations.

The event was opened by a welcome address from Dean Prof. Dr. Thomas Langer and an overview of the studies at the School by Dr. Stefan Schellhammer, Vice Dean for Teaching and Learning. Following this, Prof. Dr. Christoph Schneider, Prof. Dr. Martin Artz, Dr. Felix Hoch, and Prof. Dr. Manfred Krafft presented the four majors of the Business Administration program: Finance, Accounting, Management, and Marketing, as well as the English-language program in Business Development established in 2023. The presentation of this master's program, as well as the subsequent information on the also English-language programs in Information Systems by Prof. Dr. Alexander Teubner and Economics by Prof. Dr. Johannes Becker, were conducted in English, as were some of the personal consultation sessions. The successful premiere was rounded off by a panel discussion with the program managers Dr. Helena Helfer and Dr. Jan Niklas Dörseln with alumni Daniela Bücker, member of the board of Atruvia AG, and Dr. Christian Böing, CEO of Contabo GmbH. Both praised the excellent education at the University of Münster, as well as the familiar atmosphere and the quality of life in the city. "The University of Münster is a brand and a sender that cannot be taken away from anyone," said Dr. Christian Böing. Daniela Bücker advised today's students to network early, diversify their experiences, and encouraged them to definitely take advantage of a semester abroad, for which the University of Münster offers the largest selection of 532 Erasmus partner universities nationwide.

In addition to many participants from Münster, students from other cities such as Bremen to Cologne were also present at the "Master your future" Info Day. The feedback was overall very positive and strengthened a large part of the participants in their decision to apply for a master's program at the University of Münster. The insights from the alumni were rated as interesting, inspiring, and informative. The presentations not only provided a good insight into the various programs but also beyond that: "What I have received even more is the commitment of the School and the inspiring manner of the professors, which has particularly convinced me."
